Basic Community CPR Training

This class is designed to teach individuals in the community the skills necessary to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) on adults, children, and infants. The training is suitable for individuals who have little or no previous experience with CPR.

  • Introduction to CPR: Participants will learn about the purpose and benefits of CPR and how it can help save lives.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Techniques: Participants will learn the techniques used for BLS, such as performing chest compressions, delivering rescue breaths, and clearing an obstructed airway.
  • Hands-on Training: Participants will have the opportunity to practice the skills learned in class on manikins to simulate real-life scenarios.
  • AED Training: Participants will learn how to use an AED, which can be a critical tool in restoring normal heart rhythm during cardiac arrest.
  • Certification: Upon completion of the class, participants will receive a CPR certification, which is valid for two years.

HealthCare Provider BLS CPR

This class is designed for healthcare providers who need to know how to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Details

  • Adult and pediatric CPR: Participants will learn how to perform CPR on adults and children, including the use of chest compressions, rescue breaths, and use of an AED.
  • Two-rescuer scenarios and use of bag-mask ventilation: Participants will learn how to perform CPR as a team, including the use of bag-mask ventilation and the proper technique for switching roles.
  • Foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious): Participants will learn how to identify and treat choking victims, including the use of the Heimlich maneuver.
  • AED use (with child and infant AED modules): Participants will learn how to use an AED on children and infants, including the use of child and infant AED pads.
  • Team dynamics: Participants will learn how to communicate effectively as a team during CPR and other emergency situations.

This class is ideal for healthcare providers, such as nurses, doctors, and EMTs, who need to maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for their job. Upon completion of the class, participants will receive a BLS CPR certification, which is valid for two years.

  • Pet First Aid: Participants will learn how to provide basic first aid to pets in emergency situations, including managing bleeding, shock, choking, and other common injuries.
